 Overlooked Classic Funny! December 22, 2009

This movie has been in my mind for over 17 years! All I can remember was having a fun time, laugh hard and being in grammar school. This was one of my first movies in a wave of steady movie watching activity. I love comedies with Jeffrey Jones! He's such a great comedic actor! I wish this movie were on DVD.

This was a very funny movie and though I have seen it listed with one star, my husband and I gave it 5 stars. The video itself was listed as in good condition and was inexpensive, but the sound-track was badly damaged and it had a noise running throughout that made it hard to hear the speakers. I wrote to the company that I purchased it from and without a quibble, they sent me a full refund including shipping. I hope to purchase a better quality video to keep in my collection, as it is very cute.
Great Obscure Thriller-Comedy That Needs To Be On DVD! August 8, 2009

Out On A limb is an awesome movie that involves Broderick as a banker who makes a $160 million dollar deal with a woman. Then, his little sister calls to him about coming to Buzzsaw because she believes that their stepfather played by Jeffrey Jones who is the mayor of Buzzsaw is a criminal. SO, he comes down there and on the trip, he gets kidnapped by Heidi Kling and she makes him hitchhike on the road completely naked and he gets picked up the 2 Jim brothers played by the great John C. Reilly and Michael Monks. This is one of my all-time favorite movies that needs to be on DVD! Any of you out there who are fans of this movie should tell Universal to make a manufacture-on-demand DVD program like Warner Bros. did so that we can be able to get this movie on DVD!

Our entire family loves this flick. Its a slapstick riot to be sure and the two Jims really make the movie. It boggles the mind that this hasnt seen a DVD release yet. I bet I could come up with a list of 1000 other flicks that are much less deserving, but yet we move on to blueray and Hi-Def with no release in sight for this comedy gem. Maybe the execs in charge of this release are all "tankin up" :<)

This is a little flawed movie, but it has some hysterically funny moments. The two Jim brothers are on my top 10 list of comedic characters. We still joke about "Field Clothes" in my family. Definitly worth a look.
