Product Description The stakes are high . . . and the entire world is waiting for the verdict. The Navy has uncovered a group of radical Islamic clerics who have infiltrated the Navy Chaplain Corps, inciting sailors and marines to acts of terrorism. And Lieutenant Zack Brewer has been chosen to prosecute them for treason and murder.Only three years out of law school, Zack has already made a name for himself, winning the coveted Navy Commendation medal. Just coming off a high-profile win, this case will challenge the very core of Zack's skills and his Christian beliefs---beliefs that could cost him the case and his career. With Diane Colcernian, his staunchest rival, as assistant prosecutor, Zack takes on internationally acclaimed criminal defense lawyer Wells Levinson. And when Zack and Diane finally agree to put aside their animosity, it causes more problems than they realize.

Unreadable August 19, 2010 R. Guyer (Rochester, NY) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Readers beware...the author is a zealot in whose world everything is black and white. Christians good ...Muslims all dangerous extreamists. athe United States always good...the rest of the world either a drooling ally or an enemy.
The story actually was not bad until his religious views became overbearing.
This one iis for the right wing only...discerning readers need not apply.
Great Book! August 16, 2010 Olivia Bratten 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Treason is the best legal thriller I have ever read, and it is not even close. Plus, as some have said, the author's ability to have predicted Fort Hood in this novel, published in 2005, is amazing.
blech August 16, 2010 Kelly Bennett 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
After getting 20 % through this book I had to stop. Even as a Christian I found this book offensive. I want my money back and I would like a warning next time that the book found in the "thriller" section should have been placed next to Coulter and Palin's stuff. Again, blech.
Great Courtroom Scenes! August 15, 2010 Icie Morgan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a big Grisham fan. But the thing that makes Treason better is the Don Brown is better with his courtroom scenes. The two trials in this novel are powerful, and the description is so vivid and dramatic that I felt like I was there, hanging on to every breath! Highly recommended.
Average at best August 14, 2010 annette ricciardi (Stony Brook, NY United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you love Grisham, don't bother with Brown. The premise of the book could be good, but it is overly simplistic in its execution. No shocking revelations in the courtroom or clever legal manouvers. The allegedly brilliant defense attorney comes up with an unimaginative defense and our "hero" is equally underwhelming in court. Furthermore, the "good" vs. "evil" dichotomy is so lacking in complexity that it becomes almost laughable.
